Glipsy has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics, and we do not track you. Your health log stays on your iPhone. We never see it, sell it or share it.
Your medicines, doses, injection sites, symptoms, food, water, weight, measurements and progress photos are stored only on your device. They are not sent to our server and are not stored in iCloud. If you save a backup, it is a file you choose where to keep. Deleting an entry, or the app, deletes it.
If you connect Apple Health, Glipsy reads your weight and saves the weigh-ins you log in Glipsy to Health. If you also turn on "Send protein, fiber and water", Glipsy saves the protein, fiber and water you log to Health. Health data is used only to show your own charts. It is never used for advertising or shared with anyone. You can change access in the Health app at any time.
When you scan a barcode, the barcode number is sent to Open Food Facts, a public food database, to look up the product. When you search packaged foods, the words you typed are sent to Open Food Facts' search. Nothing else is sent with either. Everyday foods are searched on your device. Nutrition labels are read on your device by the camera and are not sent anywhere.
If you use a plate photo, the photo is sent to our server, which passes it to Google's Gemini API, a third-party AI service, to estimate the protein and fiber in the food. The photo is used only for that and is not stored on our server. Google processes it under the Gemini API terms and may keep request data for a limited time to detect abuse. A random identifier for your installation is sent with each photo so we can count the day's photos; it is not linked to your name or Apple Account. The app asks for your agreement before the first plate photo.
Dose, supply and other reminders are notifications scheduled on your device, and the dose-day banner on your Lock Screen is created on your device. When you ask Siri or use a shortcut, Apple handles your request and Glipsy answers from the log on your device. Nothing about any of these is sent to us.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.
Glipsy is meant for adults and is not directed to children.
